    -The Emperor at the time was Cesar

    What do you know about the main character in the film "Gladiator"?
    He was a General hispanoromano that his family is killed and forced to become a slave and is in love with Lucilla.

    Why did I become a slave?
    He became a slave because midway falls and is saved by a group selling people as slaves. A if they buy him as Gladiator.
