Task 2.- Chapter 6: The Roman Army

Hi class! You have read chapter 6 and have done a good job during the lesson with Kate. Now, you are supposed to be able to write a summary about the chapter. As far as I know, every group read one of the three parts and altogether listened to the others explanations. So we´re sure you can write 3 or 4 sentences about every of the five paragraph. You can have a look at he glossary to fix meanings and pronunciation.
to start, write a draft and correct the mistakes. Then, post the comment.

Rome also used soldiers who were no citizens. After twenty-five years in the army, these men could became citizens.
    Behind walls:
When a Roman legion got close, its enemies often looked for the protection of a strong camp, behind high walls. They built up eath until it rechead the top of the walls. The ideas came from the Greeks, but the Romans made changes to them the machines worked better.
    Army life:
When a legion was moving from place to place, the soldiers built a camp every night. There were no gates, but another wall was built a few metres in front of the entrance.
When a legion stayed in one place for a longer time, the built a stronger camp. Their sons became citizens of they joined the legion.
    Soldiers and politicians:
Marius was a successful general so he also became an important politician. At some times, Romans fought against Romans almost as much as against foreign enemies.
One reason for this was the way the legiens worked. Many politicians used the army to became rulers. The wars between Romans continued until Augustus became emperor in 27BC.

I liked it better when my friends came to the board and the dictation of words, was very easy! And I enjoyed it a little less well when I thought I was going to draw me to go to the blackboard, because I was ashamed.
